Major Seizure of Counterfeit Epson Ink Bottles in Thailand

THAILAND, 13 MARCH 2026 — On 14 February, officers from the Royal Thai Police conducted a raid on a warehouse in Pathum Thani, seizing more than 58,000 bottles of counterfeit Epson ink. This operation represents one of the largest seizures of counterfeit Epson ink bottles in Thailand to date.

During the raid, a warehouse supervisor was arrested for questioning. Investigations revealed that the counterfeit ink bottles were imported from China and distributed within Thailand through traditional retail networks as well as e-commerce platforms.

In a follow-up enforcement action on 20 February, officers conducted a second raid at a warehouse in Samut Prakan, where more than 9,000 additional counterfeit Epson ink bottles were seized. Two individuals were arrested at the premises.

Epson Southeast Asia reaffirmed its strong commitment to protecting its intellectual property rights and maintaining the integrity of its products. The company stated that it will not tolerate the manufacture, importation, or sale of counterfeit Epson ink bottles. 

“Counterfeit ink not only compromises print quality but may also cause damage to printers, resulting in additional costs and inconvenience for consumers and businesses,” said a spokesperson from Epson Southeast Asia. 

Consumers in Thailand are encouraged to ensure the authenticity of their purchased Epson ink bottles by sourcing only from authorised dealers and official online stores. Epson Southeast Asia also expressed its appreciation to the Royal Thai Police for its decisive action and continued efforts in combating the distribution of counterfeit goods in Thailand.
